"We must take the opportunity of the Canada 150 activities to reflect on the essential contributions of Indigenous peoples to the fabric of Canadian society throughout the past 150 years and beyond. The Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples, TRC Findings and UNDRIP all provide guidance in how all peoples in Canada can contribute to reconciliation. Let us all commit to acknowledge and appreciate the diverse views surrounding the Canada 150 activities, and to contribute to the national dialogue on how to make Canada a vibrant, inclusive society for all peoples."
